My brochure topic was shoes stores that stock the most
eye-catching shoes in Wellington. I wanted it to reflect the shoes. I decided
to use bright, exciting colours and patterns. Contrasting this with the black
illustrations and images to highlight the distinctive details of the shoes. Using
grids to keep it structured, the booklet is an advertisement for the stores and
therefore has to look professional and clean. For the majority of the project I
feel as though I lacked direction however I think I pulled it together at the
end. If I had found a direction earlier I feel like I would have a more
complete booklet as a whole. I think the weakest part of my design are the
infographics as they could have been developed further. In future I will put
more effort in to the planning phase so that I can have a solid base to begin
with.
